Maine DOT Reminds Us To Use Our Heads While Using A GPS
GPS Fails, we've all seen and heard about them. You know the ones where people drive into a lake because the GPS said that was the was to go.
Of course that was when GPSs were new right?
Apparently not given this post by the Maine DOT which not only advises drivers to go ole school when being diverted around work zones, particularly in Bar Harbor and Hallowell.
Not a bad place to check before you head out, the Maine DOT webpage has all of their projects laid out with detours on handy little maps like the one below.
Their final word on the subject.
"MaineDOT usually provides maps on major project websites or you can keep an old fashioned map in the glove compartment."
Hopefully you still remember how to use one. These guys don't seem to have the skill.
