If you’re looking for a sweet kitty to pet and snuggle with, Joleen is just the darling you’re searching for, and she's available for adoption right now at the SPCA of Hancock County.

At 13-years-young, Joleen has a gorgeous white coat with marblings of tabby coloring. Her bright yellow eyes peek out from a round face that makes her look like a perpetual kitten.

She’s an affectionate girl who has clearly experienced a lot of love in her life since she is eager to greet visitors with a chirp and a head butt. She is front-paw declawed and prefers things to be a little more on the quiet and relaxed side, so she would likely do best in a household with older children or adults.

A quiet life with a fireplace and a nice chair to be cozy in would be ideal for this gal, and she would love to keep a homebody company. She may be willing to negotiate co-living with other cats and dogs as long as it is with the right family. And she is going to be a special member of that family!

Make an appointment to meet with this girl!

The SPCA of Hancock County serves EllsworthMount Desert Island and beyond, and is still operating by appointment only for the safety of the animals, as well as visitors and staff. Here's Every Maine Earthquake That Has Happened This Year

It's a common occurrence to experience small earthquakes here in Maine. Most, thankfully, are pretty small, making the ground that we walk on shimmer as much as a fully loaded pulp truck driving by the house, if that.

So far during the year 2021, there have been 21 earthquakes of significance to occur here in Maine. Here is our list.
