Here's what the contractors are doing this week.
- The contractor will be working over in Somesville at the intersection of Routes 198/102/3 fine grading the sidewalk area.
The contractor will be working on placing drainage from Old Bar Harbor Road to Sand Point Road and from Barton's Lane to Hamor Lane.
The contractor will be ditching from the Sea Breeze Hotel to Sand Point Road and from Day Lily Lane to Baymeath Road.
The utility companies will be working on setting new poles and line work at various locations from Old Bar Harbor Road to Crooked Road, next week they will be working form the Bluffs towards Prospect Street.
Of course all work depends on the weather.
The Maine Department of Transportation reminds us that "The Crooked Road DETOUR and first one-way loop is up and running. Please drive safely and pay attention to signage, traffic signals, and flaggers!"
The PROJECT will not be completed until the spring of 2019.
