Red Rabbit Bazaar Ready To Reopen In New Spot On Columbia St.
If you've driven through Bangor in the last year or so, there's a good chance you have noticed it; the unique window displays, usually adorned with giant red rabbit heads, of one cool little consignment shop occupying the upper levels of a prominent downtown building.
Maine native Cara Oleksyk opened Red Rabbit Bazaar above The Grind House Coffee Shop on Central Street at the end of November 2022.

She decided late in 2023 to move her operation down the stairs and down the road, to a place with a little more visibility and accessibility.
"Why the move? The Bazaar is wildly committed to improving accessibility to sustainable styles and community-enriching events. Say goodbye to stairs and hello to a retail and cultural experience that’s as smooth as the well-worn charm of a vintage leather coat."
She closed up shop on Central Street the last week in January and took the month of February to transfer inventory and set up her new space at 54 Columbia Street.

"Since November 2022, Red Rabbit Bazaar has collaborated with over seventy vintage apparel vendors and local clothing consignors to bring unique and well-made wearables to the streets of Queen City. Along with curating a vast selection of throwback threads, the shop hosts monthly clothing swaps, vinyl record takeover days, skill-sharing workshops, tarot and intuitive readings, music and art showcases, making and mending circles, and so much more."
Oleksyk announced, via the Red Rabbit Bazaar Facebook Page this week, that the new shop is ready to go and will open for business this Friday, March 8th from 11 AM to 7 PM.
