Shy Smokey Cat Is Our SPCA of Hancock County Pet of the Week
Sweet boy Smokey is about a year old, and he's very friendly with everyone but may take a few days to warm up fully to his new owner. Once he does, this beautiful yellow-eye boy enjoys being petted and sat with.
Smokey was surrendered into the care of the SPCA of Hancock County about two weeks ago because he was too protective of a newborn baby in his family, which concerned the owners. He was never aggressive with the baby; he just wanted to be its friend!
Smokey loves other cats, and the staff at the SPCA thinks he would thoroughly thrive in a home with other feline friends to play and cuddle with. He was a little scared of dogs initially, but after a slow introduction with the right kind of dog, it's more than likely that he would do just fine.

Smokey hasn’t had any applicants yet, and nobody can figure out why! He is truly the best boy you could ask for and would love a nice quiet home. He would be a very nice companion for anyone and would love to be a companion himself, as well. So please consider giving this good boy a chance in your home.
We're hoping that you or someone you may know may have an interest in adopting Smokey. Please make an appointment to stop by the SPCA of Hancock County to meet him. The shelter is located on Route 3 in Trenton.
Today our pet of the week is Smokey. He loves to be pet and cuddled but may be a little shy at first. Smokey loves to...
