They have watched approximately three hundred other shelter cats arrive and then leave with adopters. But Sloan and Miranda? They're still there at the SPCA.

C'mon, these two lovely ladies would make great pets!

Sloan and Miranda arrived at the SPCA of Hancock County as four month old kittens who were terrified of everything. Their whole litter had been found outside, no mother cat to be seen. This was in September.

Now it’s May, and nine months have passed. Sloan and Miranda have grown up. Their siblings have all been adopted.

These adorable sisters love to play. They chase toys, wrestle each other, and pursue hapless bugs that wander into the shelter catio. They have also grown up with some amazing kitty social skills - they adapt to the personality of any cat we add to their community room. We think they could even live with dogs.

Sloan and Miranda are still slow to make friends with new humans. They've found that humans come and go. Could you be that one person who they can rely on to have their backs every day?

Call the shelter at (207) 667-8088 to schedule a meeting, or just drop by!
