Leila was a part of the transport from Georgia and is one of the only cats left from the trip!

She is a very sweet and spicy type of girl, who enjoys hugs and sitting in your lap to relax.

Leila’s spicy side comes out when she’s being playful and sometimes she doesn’t realize that she’s being a little rough. For this reason, the folks at the SPCA of Hancock County are asking that she go to a home without little kids, or at least ones that wouldn’t mind her playing rough with them. Leila would prefer a home without other cats, but was in a community room at the shelter so she may be able to adapt.

Recently, Leila had surgery to remove an ulcer from her eye. She is recovering very well, and although it won’t be long, the SPCA staff have not yet heard from the vet as to when she would be able to go home.

She has not had many people interested in her, so they're keeping her available for pre-adoption until she recovers and is cleared to be adopted. If you are interested in adopting Leila or have questions about her surgery and recovery date, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Please make an appointment to stop by the SPCA of Hancock County to meet her.  The shelter is located on Route 3 in Trenton.
