Watch Awesome Cat Videos On A Big Screen And Help Cats, Too!
If you're one of these people who finds endless amusement in watching cats do silly things online (funny cat videos are a thing, and more people than care to admit are highly entertained by this) then The Strand Theatre in Rockland has just the thing for you!
Coming up on Sunday, August 13th, from 1 to 2:15 PM, The Strand will hold CatVideoFest, and it's exactly what it sounds like- A festival of cat videos shown on the big screen.
According to The Strand Theatre's "CatVideoFest" Facebook Event Page,
"CatVideoFest is a compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses."
"CatVideoFest is a joyous communal experience, only available in theaters, and raises money for cats in need through partnerships with local cat charities, animal welfare organizations, and shelters to best serve cats in the area."
The Strand plans to donate a portion of the ticket proceeds collected for CatVideoFest to Thomaston's Pope Memorial Humane Society. So in a way, it's cats helping cats while they make us laugh, too. We call that a win-win.
The Strand is located at 345 Main St, Rockland. Organizers say CatVideoFest is appropriate for all ages, so load up your kids and your grandparents, and take a day trip to Rockland...to watch cat videos...and help a good cause.
If cats aren't your thing, and dogs are more your style, here's a cool list of dogs for you!
