Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Over the weekend I jumped into my Chevy tank and headed to the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see ‘Mad Max Fury Road'.

This is an action, adventure scifi movie that runs 2 hours. The film is rated R for intense sequences of violence throughout, and for disturbing images and stars Charlize Theron, Tom Hardy, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Zoë Kravitz, Nicholas Hoult.

Summary:

Mad Max Fury Road is set in a desolate future desert wasteland where gasoline and water are scarce commodities. Max wanders the desert, mad with the grief from losing his family. He is captured by a band following cult leader Immortan Joe.  In need of gasoline Immortan Joe  sends Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) off in an armored tanker. However, what she is really planning is a daring escape back to her homeland.  Joe sends his entire army in pursuit of her with Max in tow as a blood bag.  During a lengthy road battle, Max (Tom Hardy) is freed and becomes her unwilling accomplice.

Review:

As I was leaving I saw a friend of mine and asked what did you think? To which he said,” I Loved it, it was crazy on top of crazy” And I’ll tell you that really sums it up. The acting was terrific with great chemistry between Max and Furiosa plus the action is literally nonstop.  I saw it in 3D and I think this film actually works better that was because it lite on dialogue and relies heavily on the many battle, chase, sandstorm  and explosion scenes. Although the story is different from the original with Mel Gibson it was complete and coherent. So on a scale of 1-10, I’m giving ‘Mad Max Fury Road’  an 8.

Show me everything playing right now at the Bangor Mall Cinemas
