Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Last night I grabbed campaign button and headed into the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see 'Our Brand Is Crisis'

This is a comedy, drama that runs 1 and ¾ hours. The film is rated R for language including some sexual references and stars Sandra Bullock, Anthony Mackie, Billy Bob Thornton, Zoe Kazan, Scoot McNairy

Summary:

This is a story of a woman who specializes in getting people elected to office. She is drawn out of retirement to head up a campaign in war torn Bolivia only to realize that her arch rival is helping the competition making the election more personal making here go to any lengths to win.

Review:

Sort a Bolivian ‘Wag the Dog’ if your brain can recall that one. This film puts the spotlight on everything that is wrong with our political system just in another country. Both candidates ‘offices running more on marketing and manipulation than who is best for the job or will follow through with their promises. Mostly I found it depressing with only a few light moments and her attempt to make amends in the end was too late for me to care. So, on a scale of 1 – 10, I am giving 'Our Brand Is Crisis' a 5.

Show me everything playing right now at the Bangor Mall Cinemas
