Flick Chick here once again in the pursuit of truth, justice and keeping you from spending your hard earned money on movies that don’t make the grade! Last night I grabbed laser pen and headed into the Bangor Mall Cinemas to see 'Spectre'

This is an action, adventure, thriller that runs just under 2 and 1/2 hours. The film is rated Rating: PG-13 for intense sequences of action and violence, some disturbing images, sensuality and language and stars Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw

Summary:

As in Bond days of old SPECTRE (Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion) rears its ugly head again. Hidden since the movie ’You Only Live Twice’ SPECTRE has laid low and bided its time. As the world terrorism prevention scene shifts threatening the very existence of MI6 Bond receives a cryptic message from his past sending on a mission to reveal the terrible truth behind the sinister organization before it’s too late.

Review:

I like Bond movies and have seen everyone ever made. SPECTRE goes a little nostalgic to the earlier versions of Bond and that was ok. What I didn’t care for was the scattered feel of the plot, which is what I am crediting for the unnecessary length. Of course there was action and explosions but Bond seemed tired with his own life in this movie. Because it falls back on much of the old Bond style much of it is fairly predictable. Still, despite my brains misgivings my butt said it was pretty good, making giving it score a quandary. So after long thought and deliberation I am giving ‘SPECTRE’ on a scale of 1-10 a 7.
