Car crashes Into Tree, Then Fence Near Maine Savings Amphitheater Labor Day
Main Street in Bangor was a bit of a mess on Labor Day afternoon. According to Bangor Police, it was not because of the number of cars on the road, but rather that one vehicle had left the roadway.
Sgt. Jason McAmbley, Public Information Officer with the Department said a woman from Bangor had a medical event that led to the vehicle she was driving crashing into the fence in front of the Maine Savings Amphitheater.
"The 47-year-old woman told police she was experiencing chest pain, her vision suddenly went blurry, and then her car struck a light pole, and a tree, and crashed through the fence, coming to rest against a steel barrier behind the fence. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment. "
McAmbley says there are no charges expected to be filed against the woman.
We're told traffic was not impacted much, if any, by the crash thanks to how close first- responders were to the scene and how quickly they were able to get to the accident.
