New Bangor ‘FYZICAL’ Therapy Center To Hold Grand Opening
While the folks at FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers Twin City Bangor quietly opened their doors last month and began seeing patients, they're now ready to celebrate their first few weeks of business, in style, with an official Grand Opening scheduled for next week.

Owners, Bill and Karen Beane, will be on hand along with the FYZICAL staff and some local dignitaries next Thursday, May 2nd for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, complete with beverages and refreshments. They'll open their doors to all who want to come to check out their new state-of-the-art clinic. You can take a tour of their new digs, try out some of the new equipment, and see what makes FYZICAL different from other physical therapy centers in the state.
FYZICAL Clinic Liaison, Benjamin Smith, says the goal of the new clinic and those who work there is to help folks with injuries or challenges that have left them on the sidelines and get them back to living and loving their lives.
"More than 1 out of 4 people over the age of 65 experience a fall, and falling even once doubles your chance of falling again. In fact, 40% of people admitted to a hospital for a fall will never return to living independently again. These are stark statistics. FYZICAL has a model that Is focused on preventative therapy to avoid falls altogether. If you are unsteady on your feet or have unexplained dizziness, we can help - before you fall".
Along with services designed to address a broad range of diagnoses, conditions, and concerns, including dizziness, balance, and neurologic issues, FYZICAL also offers an orthopedic rehabilitation program that helps patients reduce and reverse orthopedic pain or immobility and their attendant health issues.
They're also able to provide Pediatric physical therapy services and can aid student-athletes with developing stretching and recovery programs to help them with their chosen sports.
All this month, both the staff and clients have been collecting pet supplies as part of a local pet food drive for the Eastern Area Agency on Aging's " Furry Friends Food Bank." Folks who come by to the Grand Opening next week are invited to bring some pet supplies to help in that cause, as well.
