POLL RESULTS: The Best Hamburgers In Eastern Maine
Pass the ketchup, the results are in.
For the past week or so we've been asking where the best burger is located within eastern Maine. Now we really don't care if it's located at a fancy restaurant, a take-out stand, or at a nationally known burger joint, as long as we know exactly where those burgers are located so that we can taste them for ourselves.
By the end of this post, we'll be halfway there.
You may be familiar with our food polls. Many of our online readers and on-air listeners certainly are, as folks have cast their votes by the thousands. Besides hamburgers, we've covered pizza, Chinese food, steakhouses, Italian sandwiches, breakfast, and ice cream stands.
So, after hundreds of votes from people all over eastern Maine who are obviously in the know and appreciate a good double cheeseburger with fries, here are the results. Oh, excuse us, you wanted onion rings? Anyway, here are the results:
#10 - Provender, Ellsworth
#9 - Chase's Family Restaurant, Bangor
#8 - Geaghan's, Bangor
#7 - Jordan's Snack Bar, Ellsworth
#6 - Governor's, Bangor, Old Town, Ellsworth
#5 - Out Of The Ordinary, Orono
#4 - Blaze, Bangor
#3 - Brewster's, Brewer
#2 - Mason's, Brewer
#1 - Five Guys, Bangor
Special recognition goes to Paddy Murphy's in Bangor, Season's in Bangor, Josie's Country Store, Ellsworth, Longhorn Steakhouse, Bangor, and Timber in Bangor.
So there you go, the best burger joints in eastern Maine, apparently. Somewhere at the moment there's a cook out in the kitchen holding a spatula, slingin' the onions, and waiting for you to try the product. Don't let them down, and don't forget the extra cheese as well.
