Pushaw Road In Glenburn Reopens Following Washout
Heavy rainfall just a couple of weekends ago washed out an entire section of Pushaw Rd in Glenburn.
The section missing was so large, it made that part of the road completely impassable, and caused authorities to create a detour from just before Orono Road all the way to Lakeview Rd.
Since then, Maine DOT crews have been working diligently to rebuild that section so that folks could travel safely on it once again.
Well, to the delight of all of us who have been using the Hudson Road detour for the last couple of weeks, the Glenburn Fire Department Issued an announcement via their Facebook page Wednesday, that the road would reopen by the end of the day!
"Great news from our friends at MaineDOT , the Pushaw Road will be open by the end of the day! Thank you Maine DOT for your hard work!"
When we ventured down there to take some pictures, we saw the DOT trucks hauling off the "Road Closed" signs.
