Authorities Asking Travelers To Detour Around Section Of Glenburn
Authorities dealing with an incident in Glenburn Monday evening ask motorists to avoid a certain section of a major roadway into and out of town.
According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, there are a number of law enforcement officials along the main artery that brings folks through Glenburn into Bangor. Due to the nature of the situation (which they aren't commenting on in detail yet) they are asking people to avoid that area.
"The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office is managing an active situation on Route 222 (outer Union St) Glenburn. Route 222 (Outer Union St) traffic is being diverted MerryMan Road and Grogan Road. An appropriate level of resources has been utilized to minimize the risk to the public. We ask the public to divert travel plans from the area if possible."
