SPCA Of Hancock County Annual Pet Fair Happens The 29th
Hey, you just have to love a Pet Parade where everyone wins a blue ribbon!
The SPCA of Hancock County's 10th Annual Pet Fair will take place at the Woodlawn Museum, Gardens & Park, at the Black House in Ellsworth, Saturday, September 29th.
All four-legged friends are welcome!
The fair will include a blessing of the animals and there will be plenty of food, crafts and games for children and dogs! You will also have an opportunity to meet some very special SPCA dogs and cats that are available for adoption. How cool is that? Very.
The big event that afternoon will be the Pet Parade, where kids can proudly walk their leashed dogs across the grounds, and everyone wins a blue ribbon!
“We are so excited to have our fair in Ellsworth for the second year in a row and are thrilled to partner with Woodlawn Museum, Gardens & Park,” said Jamie O’Keefe, SPCA board president. “This is a fun event for all ages. It is also a great way to find out more about the SPCA and to meet some of the wonderful dogs and cats we have available for adoption.”
The tented event will happen between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. rain or shine.
All of the proceeds will support the operation of the SPCA of Hancock County's animal shelter on Bar Harbor Road in Trenton. Since opening the doors of its expanded shelter in 2010, the SPCA has cared for and found homes for hundreds of surrendered, abandoned and homeless dogs and cats. The non-profit organization serves all of Hancock County. For information about the event, please contact the SPCA at (207) 667-8088.
By the way, have you seen this week's Pet of the Week?
