WATCH True North Legends Of Dogs & Men Trailer, Filmed In Maine

Wow, this is going to be a good one, produced and filmed by our friend The Timber Cross.

Jeremy T. Grant, otherwise known in the digital world as The Timber Cross, is in the process of producing a new documentary that he recently filmed in the north woods of Maine this past winter, and it looks to be a beauty.

In the new film titled True North Legends of Dogs and Men he chronicles the travels of a lone musher and his 8 dog team as they travels 285 miles across some of the most beautiful land in the country.

The drone footage is absolutely stunning in this trailer, and one can sense the enduring challenge as the team makes it way across the snow and through the frozen forest. In the trailer to the film and during a somewhat down moment the lone musher tells his audience, "I don't know if I'm going to pull this off.  Eight dogs, 285 miles with all this gear. Maybe I'm asking too much."

Guess we'll have to wait until the official release of the film to find out if they pull it off.

Jeremy tells us the dogs are the same breed as Togo, a Siberian Husky that was featured in a 2019 Walt Disney movie of the same name that told the 1925 story of an Alaskan musher and his sled dog team as they pulled off an unbelievable journey to deliver serum in the middle of a pandemic.

Did you know that the real life Togo was given to a lady musher named Elizabeth Ricker who lived in Poland Springs, Maine?  Yes, Togo lived out his golden years here in the Pine Tree State and sired many puppies.

In the process of "discovering something awesome", Jeremy T. Grant has produced some wonderful short films in the past that feature among other things, his travels through the Allagash, the Boon Island Lighthouse and the National Toboggan Championships in Camden.
