Bangor Airport Welcomes New Air Service To Florida Via Breeze Airways
The year 2024 is turning out to be quite the time for additions and improvements at the Bangor International Airport. In just a few days, BIA will kick off an 18-month-long schedule of new construction projects and a replacement of its runway.
But that's not the only new thing happening at the airport.
Making the announcement earlier this week, officials with Bangor International Airport say that the addition of Breeze Airways will help the airport accommodate an ever-growing flow of traffic through its doors. Earlier this month the airport said business has increased by 30% in the last 5 years.
"We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to Breeze Airways as they join the ranks of airlines serving Bangor International Airport," said BGR Director Jose Saavedra. "The introduction of direct flights to Orlando, Tampa, and Fort Myers not only enhances connectivity for our valued passengers but also marks a significant milestone as BGR proudly welcomes its fifth air carrier amidst record-high levels of passenger traffic."
According to the Breeze Airways official website, along with service from Bangor International Airport, the airline is setting up shop in four other airports across the nation, including Dallas Fort Worth, Lansing, Lancaster, and Pensacola.
