Hey, where did everybody go?

Look at this proud boy!  Give him a home, if you would, please.

You may remember this beautiful face from a few months ago. Oscar has been with us for almost four months and he’s already been Pet of the Week once. At the moment, he is one of our last cats available for adoption.

But here's the gig, unfortunately, Oscar was declawed on his front paws which caused litter box issues. That’s why he was surrendered to us back in September, because someone didn't want to invest the time and effort in our boy.

However, the folks at the SPCA of Hancock County have found a nice soft litter that’s gentle on his paws and works really well for him. He may still have accidents from time to time, but this sweet five year old boy is worth it.

If you give Oscar even a second of attention, he starts purring and giving you head butts and kisses. He’s a bit of a couch potato and he’d love to snuggle up with you and take a nap.

Oscar would be best in a home with no other cats and perhaps minimal carpeting… just to be safe! Anyone would be so lucky to have this precious boy. If you can spare a bit of patience with the litter box, you’ll be rewarded with TONS of love and affection.

We think that Oscar is well worth it!

Maybe you or someone you know would have an interest in Oscar.  If so, please make an appointment to meet him in person.

The SPCA of Hancock County is still operating by appointment-only for the safety of the animals, as well as visitors and staff. If you are looking to adopt, please check their website where they have an adoption application and the available animals listed. For general inquiries, please call them at 207-667-8088, email info@spcahancockcounty.org, or send them a Facebook message.
