Yvette is a sweet and loving tortie girl, who is way too cute to be cooped up at the SPCA of Hancock County.

Yvette LOVES to be petted and loved, she just needs a home to make her own!

Yvette came to the SPCA  from Small Animal Clinic more than a month ago, as she was a stray living outside until someone scooped her up and brought her in.  Staff there has cleared her to be an indoor-outdoor cat, although they usually suggest keeping cats indoors unless they REALLY want to go outside.  Remember, cats only know what they know, so try keeping them indoors until their urge to go outside evaporates.

Yvette is not a fan of other cats, so this little girl will have to be the Queen of the house.  She does not mind dogs, so with the right kind of introduction the SPCA staff believes Yvette could live with a dog, as smelly as they may be.

Treats, catnip, toy mice, and her future owner’s lap are some of Yvette’s favorite things. She is a big fan of her wet food, always excited for mealtime. The staff at the shelter are very surprised that no one has come to adopt this perfect girl! She would be the perfect addition to practically any home, and the perfect addition to anyone’s heart.

Make an appointment to stop by the SPCA of Hancock County and meet Yvette soon, it's located on Route 3 in Trenton.

The SPCA of Hancock County serves Ellsworth, Mount Desert Island and beyond, and is still operating by appointment-only for the safety of the animals, as well as visitors and staff. If you are looking to adopt, please check their website where they have an adoption application and the available animals listed. For general inquiries, please call them at 207-667-8088, email info@spcahancockcounty.org, or send them a Facebook message.
