A Maine Man Named Justice, Will Now Face Justice, Thanks To A Keen Corrections Officer
Thanks to the watchful eye of a Penobscot County Correctional Officer, a man wanted for murder in another state will face those charges...and now more.
According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, the man had originally been brought to the Penobscot County jail at 10:30 Monday evening, by Dexter Police. He was there to be processed on felony drug charges.
He had given authorities his name, but when the man started to act a little "off" while being processed one of the correctional officers working at the jail that night thought something didn't seem to add up.
"The man's evasiveness prompted the officer to further investigate his identity provided at the time of the arrest. After a thorough process, correctional officers and a member of the medical team confirmed that the man had provided a fake name and date of birth to the arresting agency. Once the correctional officers properly identified the man, they confirmed that he had a full extradition active warrant for murder out of Pennsylvania."
23-year-old Justice Flenory of Exeter will now face extra felony drug charges, on top of the charges of murder, unlawful drug trafficking, and aggravated forgery he faced in Pennsylvania.
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office commended the jail personnel involved in properly identifying Flenory for making sure that in the end, he ended up put in the proper place, instead of being housed in a section of the jail considered lower security, or being bailed out completely.
